Sangiovese
Sangiovese is an ancient Roman variety; the name is derived from the Latin "Sanguis Jovis" meaning "Blood of Jupiter”. Our 100% Sangiovese wine is celebrated my advanced sommeliers and executive chefs around the world for its elegance and smooth finish, reminiscent of a grand vin de Bourgogne.

The Grape & Vinification
Our sangiovese grapes are harvested in September from a 30-year-old vineyard and are selected in the vineyard and processed in the cellar. The primary fermentation on skins takes place in cement tanks at a controlled temperature for around two weeks. After pressing, the resulting wine is returned to artisanal cement tanks for a period of maturation that preserves the maximum varietal characteristics of the wine. Once maturation is complete, the wine is carefully finished and bottled.

Parings
Our Sangiovese is best enjoyed over lunch or dinner with hard cheeses, meats, and pastas. Our favorite pairing is any tomato based dish due to the wines high acidity and earthy notes.

Tasting Notes
The wine has a brilliant ruby red, intense bouquet, with floral aromas of purple, rose, red fruits. On the palate, broad, enveloping, with pleasant and structured tannins, good persistence.
